So on Friday I spent 19 hours on 5 planes from Tampa to Vegas, Vegas to Phoenix, Phoenix to Long Beach, arrived, got my nails done and picked up my little one then got back on a plane from Long Beach to Phoenix then Phoenix to Vegas. Believe it or not, that didn't phase me, but what KILLED me was realizing when I got in the car, exhausted, that I inadvertently left my mp3 player on the last plane. I had it on my seat when my daughter fell asleep on my lap. When we arrived, I was so busy getting her and my stuff out and off the plane I didn't notice it was missing.
One of my clients had given it to me a year ago at the last PHX Forum as a thank you present and its gone all over the world with me since. UGH. I called the airlines for 2 days trying to see if anyone turned it in, not having too much hope of ever seeing it again.
Then this morning, I get a call from US Air at the Vegas airport, they HAD my player!!!! I was so impressed with their honesty I wrote a letter to the airlines.
So far, I've left my cell phone accidentally in Amsterdam when it fell off of me in a drunken stupor, and I was still able to recover it with the help of several friends. I must have good object return karma or something!!!!
Has anything like this happened to you???
btw, I'll be taking applications for a personal valet to help me keep track of my crap. LOL. Sven did a great job in CR but he's currently geographically unavailable. :confused2: :helpsmilie::tweek:
