I hear it was good - I also hear the show floor was lacking - I personally like that show but I had to pass on this one - and last fl show that show floor was a waste - the pool was the only thing going on - too many shows is my 2 cents

I hear attendance was so low the whole show fit comfortably in Rain Nightclub.
I also heard old schoolers represented in mass

And what does that tell you? I think it may not bode well.

It was a awesome show, AVN did a great job of re-inventing it. The Palms on the other hand was very disappointing as a hotel, barely a step up from motel 6...

I made a post on it last night but the board ate it. I agree with Wizzo though!

the show was great...and plenty of business for everyone.

anyone who didnt like the show, obviously doesnt know how to prepare for business at a show.

OMG that was a KICKASS show! The venue was different but excellent, the hotel amazing, and there was enough room to disappear without having to walk forever.

Picked up excellent biz at the show as well, and Everclear rocked the last night.

we did an incredible amount of biz and could have used a couple more days in that venue. everyone i have spoken with that attended said they did more biz at that show than any in a long time. if you didn't go, you missed out.

I usually measure the success of a show based on how much business I can pick up while having fun. This Internext definitely qualified as a success.

Glad to hear the positive feedback. I was concerned because of the venue/format change.

From what I am seeing with newbies is that there is not as many in the usa as in the past, There is still a lot of newbies just not from the usa like there was. Newbies did a lot of biz back a few years ago, Now its us crusty bastards that seem to have the money and the time to go. The art of networking seems to be going the way of the picpost. The money is not being made by the new webmasters like it used to be, and because of this they don't have the money to go. A lot of webmasters are busting there ass to clear $1500 a month, I can remember doing that in less than 4 hours. I believe are industry is going full circle. We have sites with tons of traffic but bad marketing, so they are not makeing money as they could be, instead the surfer is just sucking down anything they want to. I would love to go, but haveing a bad heart and trying to travel just dont go together. But I still have the memory of my first internext I think it was in 98 or 97, I got a double shot of jack in the airport bar and I pretty much was shit faced till i got back off the plane and headed home.. I think that was the year fantacy man got jacked for having the booze and the girls so close together by nevada gaming comission..

This was the first Internext I've missed in years.

Too many shows, too much work to do on the homefront.

I also have a team working for me to do all the traveling :)

I'll be at xbiz next month.

My 2 cents. It was fun & met some great new people & reconnected with old ones. The change of format was much needed since attendance is down & there aren't many new webmasters or affiliate webmasters attending anymore, so moving away from the showfloor format was needed. It made Rain feel more packed. My old complaint about Vegas was that there were so many parties off location & far from eachother, so you could only realistically hit one party & then a suite party afterhours each night. But since it's more centralised and you only had to go up/down one floor to get to the next suite party it made it easier.

The suite parties (no matter how nice the suite) does get tiring after awhile. Really enjoyed the poker suite with Rock Band in the other room.
I really miss the following:
- Gameworks, y'all remember that? the food & open bar & good times
- yearly topbucks dinner
- more sponsored dinners
- last year they had hands on workshops, like "shooting great content" and other topics you could really apply. They should've brought that back, those workshops were standing room only.
